Canterbury Park, in Ashwaubenon, boasts a youth basketball court, two tennis courts, and a playground area. What they didn’t have was a picnic shelter.
Located in a busy neighborhood near the newly constructed Titletown district, Canterbury Park caters to both residents and visitors to the area. The addition of a picnic shelter would provide shade and a place for families to congregate.
With the project planned and supplies ordered, the Village of Ashwaubenon Parks and Recreation Department gave us a call. They needed an outdoor forklift, capable of handling up to 5,000 lbs. And they needed it as soon as possible. Within a few hours we delivered their rental forklift.
The workers on site used the forklift to raise and secure the shelter’s steel frame, something that couldn’t be done with just a ladder. Once the frame was in place, they used a platform attachment which allowed them to reach the upper part of the structure and bolt on the corrugated metal sheets that would become the roof.
The end result? A new picnic shelter for everyone to enjoy!
